The University of Michigan-Dearborn, Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions, one as Assistant Professor in System-on-a-Chip, and another as Assistant Professor in Wireless Cybersecurity.

The applicant for System-on-a-Chip should have research interests that fall within the areas of computer hardware design, system-on-chips, computer architecture, VHDL/Verilog, Reconfigurable computing, and parallel processing. The applicant for Wireless Cybersecurity should have a strong emphasis on the emerging wireless communications and network including vehicular communications and networks, cybersecurity, cyber-physics systems, Internet of Things, 5G wireless communications and others, is highly expected.

Qualified candidates must have, or expect to have, an earned Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment. Candidates will be expected to perform scholarly and sponsored research, as well as teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ECE Department offers several BS and MS degrees, and participates in two interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs. The current funded research areas in the department include intelligent systems, power electronics, hybrid vehicles, battery management, computer networks, wireless communications, and embedded systems.
