The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Department of Engineering Management & Technology Tenure Track Positions

The Department of Engineering Management & Technology (EMT) at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor Levels beginning August 1, 2018. The successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in Engineering Management, or a closely related field, from an ABET accredited program giving him/her the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across the Engineering Management & Technology curriculum. Individuals who are "all but dissertation" (ABD) will be considered for faculty positions at UTC; however, the degree must be awarded within twelve months of the first semester of employment. Applicants should be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate students in research. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in engineering management, construction management, manufacturing, mechatronics, and product development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire students are desired, along with the ability to develop a nationally and internationally recognized and funded research program.

The EMT Department, as part of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), offers an ABET-ETAC accredited B.S. degree in Engineering Technology Management with concentrations in Construction Management and Engineering Management, and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management with concentrations in Engineering Management and Construction Management.
