After completed his undergraduate education in 1977 from one the elite schools in civil engineering, Dr. Wang has been in higher education institution for 13 years and in industry for 20 years up to 2010. He has physically lived and worked in China, Australia, Canada, and the USA and involved key projects in research, technology transfer and construction projects in East Asia, Middle East, North America, South America, and Caribbean countries. He has expansive experience and specialized, in his 33 years of professional career life, in construction engineering and management, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, materials engineering, transportation engineering, concrete technology, asphalt technology, pavement engineering, solid wastes utilization in construction applications. He was a senior engineer, senior project manager, principal engineer, associate, and partner in engineering consulting firms before joined East Carolina University in August 2007.
