Yin’s lab led by Asst/Prof YIN Xiaole focuses on understanding the environment-microbe-human complex interactions. Yin’s lab is looking for a highly motivated Research Fellow (RF) with an interest in computational biology. The RF will work on a project aiming to understand how to predict the microbial community under environmental pressure and use the insights to develop approaches for intervention.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The roles of this position include:

  • Rigorous study design.

  • Perform in-depth, critical data analyses.

  • Effectively communicate through presentations and high-quality journal publications.

  • Assist in supervising research students in the group.

 

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in microbiology, bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field.

  • Experience on python, linux and HPC.

  • A strong interest in interdisciplinary research.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with group members and collaborators.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and with minimum supervision.
