The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in the Membrane and Separation Lab led by Dr. Xiaoli Ma. In this role, you will conduct research on electrochemical separation processes and ion-exchange membranes, assist the PI in grant application, and supervise graduate students. The successful applicant will have opportunities to interact with other faculty members and industry professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A recent Ph.D. in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience with electrochemical separation processes: electrodialysis, capacitive deionization (CDI), etc.
  • Experience with synthesis and characterization of ion-exchange membranes.
  • Knowledge of polymer chemistry, electrochemistry, and electrochemical systems.
  • Ability to work as an independent researcher and as part of a research team.
