The Water and Energy Technology Laboratory at UC Merced is looking for two qualified postdoctoral researchers that are self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic to work on experimental measurements and numerical simulations of heat transfer in micro/nanomaterials and their interfaces. The duties of the postdocs will include: i) conducting experiments and simulations to characterize non-diffusive heat transfer in micro/nanomaterials and their interfaces; ii) writing papers/reports describing the results of the evaluations and investigations; and iii) assisting with the oversight of graduate and undergraduate assistants working on research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a PhD in thermal science and engineering, or related field, and experience in the thermometry and modeling. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent scientific research successfully are desirable.
