Two Ph.D. positions are available in the Computational Multiphase Transport Lab, led by Dr. Aswin Gnanaskandan (https://sites.google.com/umn.edu/cmtl/home), Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Insitute.
The projects involve developing state-of-the-art, multiphysics models and performing simulations of challenging multiphase flow problems. The projects are multi-disciplinary and collaborative and solve the current needs of Navy, Airforce, and NASA allowing opportunities to directly work with scientists and engineers at these agencies.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering with a strong background in fluid mechanics. Prior programming experience is not mandatory but will be considered favorably.
Interested candidates can get in touch with Dr. Aswin Gnanaskandan to know more about the projects at email@example.com
