The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a faculty complement of 44 professors active in various areas of computer engineering and electrical engineering. The Department offers PhDs, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering (Avionics). At Concordia University an Extended Term Appointment (ETA) position is one dedicated to teaching with some service expectations. The initial appointment is for approximately 36 months. ETA Members are eligible for reappointment subject to the availability of work and a positive evaluation of their performance.

The Department invites applications for an ETA position in Computer Engineering. This position will support both undergraduate and the course Master’s program. The appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer. Applicants shall hold a PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline and shall possess teaching expertise in Computer Engineering.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Membership or eligibility for membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in the Province of Qu├ębec is essential. The language of instruction at Concordia is English; however, knowledge of French is an asset.
