Job Summary
This position will be based on two-year terms which will be renewable based on performance and abilities to secure and support externally funded research.
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking a Research Engineer to work for the National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence. A Research Engineer conducts research in various fields of engineering to design and develop technology and to carry out investigations, evaluation, and application of engineering theories and principles.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of research and development activities requiring the application of engineering practices and principles.
Works to execute projects, manage laboratories, interact with sponsors and write reports, proposals and scholarly papers
Evaluates findings to develop new concepts, equipment, or processes.
Ensures supplies are available and operational for use in projects.
