Applications are invited for a three-year teaching term position as a Teaching Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must hold Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) degrees at the Bachelor’s and Doctoral levels. Required areas of teaching are thermal-fluids engineering including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics, and related equipment design courses with a focus on thermal power systems. The successful candidate should have relevant experience in areas of renewable and non-renewable energy conversion processes. The position is subject to budgetary approval.
The successful candidate will be expected to effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and supervise student projects. Past teaching experience in the above areas is desirable. The successful candidate should be eligible to register as a P.Eng. with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEG-NL).
