This individual will perform research related to the ion-partitioning behavior and ionic conductivity of thin film polymer electrolytes. The individual will prepare self-assembled thin films (in particular block copolymers). The individual will perform characterization of thin films using grazing incidence x-ray scattering and electrochemical methods and other analytical methods.
Perform research in the lab ranging from material preparation and characterization, develop projects and propose new ideas.
Write manuscripts and support proposal writing and reports on various projects
Mentor students and participate in collaborations
Required Qualifications: PhD in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, and Chemistry or equivalent
Candidates with a strong background and publications in electrochemistry, polymer science, lithography, materials science, and chemistry or related field. Experience with x-ray scattering is a plus.
