There are 30+ faculty members, about 450 undergraduate students and 450 postgraduate students in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). The Department of MAE invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in the fields of Robotics/Control Theory, Advanced Manufacturing, and Materials Science. Applications are welcome at all ranks.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related areas, and are expected to have recognized pertinent academic, research and/or industrial experience. Successful candidates would be expected to establish externally-funded research programs and have a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.
Appointment at all ranks (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor) will be considered. Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave and housing benefits will be provided where applicable. Appointment as Professor will be on substantive basis while appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor will normally be on a three-year contract. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
