Four tenure-track positions: Construction Engineering and Management, Materials and Pavement Engineering,Transportation and Traffic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Water Resources Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut invites applications for four tenure-track faculty positions, preferably at the level of Assistant Professor, in the areas of (1) Construction Engineering and Management, (2) Materials and Pavement Engineering, (3) Transportation and Traffic Engineering; (4) Environmental Engineering, and (5) Water Resources Engineering. Applications for visiting positions in all ranks may also be considered.
The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Civil Engineering or a related field and must demonstrate potential for quality research and teaching. Faculty are expected to teach and conduct research in their areas of specialty, with emphasis on contemporary problems in such areas as: sustainable design, materials, and construction; smart systems and technologies; big data analytics; and climate change mitigation and critical civil infrastructure resilience and solutions.
