The College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for the position of Head of the School of Civil and Construction Engineering (CCE). This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) 12-month, position. Salary is commensurate with training, education, and experience. The School Head will decide personnel assignments, allocation of resources and assignment of space and equipment. Some of the duties may require extensive travel. Major decisions will be reviewed by the dean as needed. Required qualifications include: Ph.D. in a field associated with civil, construction, or architectural engineering; successful managerial and leadership experience; significant record of achievement in research, teaching, and service that merits appointment as a tenured full-professor within the school; a demonstrable commitment to educational equity in a multicultural setting; a demonstrable commitment to advancing the participation of diverse and underrepresented groups and supporting diverse perspectives; effective communication skills; a demonstrable understanding of successful practices for mentoring and/or professional development; and experience developing external relations.
