Smart medical devices (microprogramming and signal processing)
Work description
Research and development of algorithms for analyzing signals acquired in real time by a system with integrated sensors, which will perform measurements, for example, of body temperature, heart rate and respiration and peripheral oxygenation during daily activities;
- Identification of characteristics and recognition of personalized patterns in an objective and efficient way and creation of a mobile application for the user to improve their performance.
- Collaboration in a research, development and innovation project, in the textile and clothing sector, to create smart clothing with movement, biometric and physiological sensing.
- Collaboration with project partners in signal collection and database organization.
- Collaboration in the writing of scientific articles, patent proposals and work reports.
Academic Qualifications
MSc
Minimum profile required
- MSc in Biomedical Engineering or related areas.
Preference factors
- Good knowledge of programming and signal processing.
Maintenance stipend: € 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
