The Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts at Auburn University invites applications for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow. This is a benefits-eligible, non-tenure track position with an initial appointment of one year, renewable up to a maximum of four years based on performance and funding availability. The expected start date is April 1, 2025.
This research-focused role involves professional and technical work in the production of bioproducts, chemicals, and biofuels from woody biomass, primarily using an electrochemical platform or a thermochemical-electrochemical hybrid process. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in research activities. • Assisting in writing proposals for extramural funding. • Supervising the bioenergy group including mentoring student researchers (graduate and undergraduate). • Summarizing data and publishing research findings. • Preparing technical reports, manuscripts for publication, and various presentations. • Performing other related duties as assigned by the PI.
