One postdoctoral position is available immediately to support research conducted by Dr. Mustafa Gül and his team on design and decision-making tools for energy efficient and net-zero energy buildings and communities with particular focus on solar PV systems and their integration into residential buildings and commercial buildings, community shared solar, building energy simulation, and thermal performance of building envelopes. The candidate will conduct both computer modeling and data analytics activities and must demonstrate their ability to integrate both methods. The position is available for one year with possibility for renewal.
The candidate should possess:
Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science/Engineering or related fields in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
Experience in energy efficient buildings, net-zero energy buildings, solar PV systems, building science/engineering
Familiarity with related software, Artificial Intelligence, signal and image processing, programming skills
Strong data analytics and management skills and ability to develop databases
Strong publication and presentation track record in related fields
Experience and interest in mentoring and training students as part of a research team
Ability to work independently and within a team, including demonstrated leadership qualities and interaction with collaborators
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present to a wide range of audiences
