The appointee (Job ID: 6112) will provide support to Smart Urban Water Supply Systems and function as an assistant engineer with the following major responsibilities:
1. Support the design and operation of experiments.
2. Assist in project procurement and financial management.
3. Coordinate with vendors on the development and distribution of publicity materials/website and event logistics in compliance with the University guidelines.
4. Assist in the compilation of research book and lecture notes.
The experience gained in this job will contribute to the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of the appointee and help achieving his/her engineering chartership.
Applicants should have a recognized bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electronic or computer engineering preferably with laboratory experience; have good knowledge in IT and software applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation tools and data management); be self-motivated and attentive to details, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to multi-task and produce quality work under pressure and tight timelines; have a pleasant personality, good interpersonal, communication and co-ordination skills, and a problem-solving mindset; be able to work independently but also be a good team player with solution-driven mindset; and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. (Duration: 1 year, renewable subject to performance and funding availability)
