The College of Engineering at Temple University is searching for two outstanding individuals to join the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as a tenure-track Assistant Professor and a full-time non tenure track position.
Candidates specializing in all ECE areas will be considered for the Non-Tenure Track position, but a specialization of Computer Engineering is required for the Tenure Track position. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related fields.
The College of Engineering is located at Temple University's main campus, in the thriving city of Philadelphia, a city at the forefront of science and technology. Philadelphia is also the second largest city on the east coast and home to historic events, such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Temple University, founded in 1888, is one of the nation's distinguished comprehensive universities with an enrollment of 39,000, and is an invaluable asset for the intellectual, economic, and social enrichment of Pennsylvania.
The College is strengthening its doctoral, master's, and ABET accredited undergraduate degree programs, and the new faculty members are expected to be instrumental in this process. The Department currently has 16 full time faculty, 350 undergraduate students, and 60 graduate students, and offers academic programs leading to ABET accredited BSEE, MSEE and a College-wide PhD degree. The Department has a growing funded research program with external funding from various federal and industrial sources including NSF, ONR, NASA, and DARPA.
