Prof. Chaozhe He’s Lab (https://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~chaozheh/) with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University at Buffalo invites applications for multiple fully funded Ph.D. positions in AI/robotics/CAV starting in Fall 2024.

 

The successful candidates will work on applying deep learning, motion planning, and control combined with nonlinear and optimal control to build smart interactive agents in virtual reality, and design and implement intelligent algorithms for ground robots and connected and automated vehicles.

 

The candidates are expected to have a background in one or more of the following disciplines: dynamics and control, robotics, machine learning, motion planning, and trajectory optimization. Proficiency in English is required. Programming experiences in MATLAB and Python are preferred. Conference/journal publications are desired but not required.
