NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is a collaboration between Nanofilm Technologies International Limited (“Nanofilm”, “NTI”), Nanyang Technological University (“NTU”) and supported by Singapore under RIE2025. The Laboratory’s objective is to propel Innovation and Technologies commercialisation through NTU’s innovation and NTI’s deep technology. NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory aligns with Singapore’s RIE2025 handbook – which emphasises the nation’s commitment to research and innovation, aiming to drive economic growth and address national challenges.
The Nanyang Technological University NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is seeking to hire a Research Fellow. The selected candidate will innovate research in advanced materials.
Key Responsibilities:

Work on AI-driven techniques such as machine learning and data analytics.

Develop and refine methodologies and testing protocols for lab.
-
Perform materials characterization for thin films.
-
Conduct computer simulations with softwares such as ANSYS/COMSOL.
-
Work on CAD and/or Finite Element Analysis for design and drawing of components.
-
Assist on project and grant management support for the co-directors.
Job Requirements:
-
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.

Demonstrated expertise in advanced simulation (ANSYS/COMSOL) and a broad range of material characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, etc.).

Proven experience with semiconductor processes, including Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).

Strong background in reliability testing and quality assurance protocols.

Proficiency in CAD drawing and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support design and analysis efforts.

Experience in providing administrative support for research projects and grants, with excellent project management and communication skills.

A self-motivated individual with a strong commitment to independent learning and problem-solving, capable of addressing complex research challenges.
