Work description
- Design of the base version of a control PCB for a 30x30 elements RIS at 140 GHz.
- Optimization of the developed PCB according to the requirements of the devices used in the project (e.g., Schottky diodes, CMOS, microfluidics).
- Manufacturing and testing of the developed PCB and validation of the interface with the 140 GHz RIS.
- Configure an FPGA platform to interface with the control PCB.
- Develop a Jupyter Notebook overlay for advanced control via the FPGA.
- Write the activity report for the scholarship.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Minimum profile required
- Experience in designing electronic circuits, as well as carrying out test and validation circuits.
Preference factors
- Experience in programming FPGAs and Jupyter Notebooks.
Maintenance stipend: € 990,98, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
