Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering focuses on sustainable utilization of raw materials, designing and developing more efficient processes for new materials and products. We are now looking for a
Doctoral Researcher in the area of Industrial processes in chemical engineering
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate
to carry out research in the Plant design research group
(Prof. Pekka Oinas) under the topic of Development and assessment of sustainable production processes.
Our laboratory is situated on the main campus of Aalto University in Otaniemi.
We offer a multidisciplinary research environment and staff and well-equipped laboratory. The group’s research interests include: process design and synthesis for bio-based- processes, cost engineering, scale-up of processes, process simulation and environmental and safety aspects of process design. Your experience and ambitions
As a successful applicant you should be highly motivated in process research, development and design and have a solid background in chemical and process engineering. Industrial experience is highly appreciated.
Salary and contract terms
The salary is based on Aalto University’s salary system. The contract includes occupational health care benefits and Finland has a comprehensive social security system.
