A Research Associate/Assistant Professor position is available in the ultrasound laboratories of Professors Paul Dayton and Gianmarco Pinton at UNC Chapel Hill. This position will support research in ultrasound imaging techniques. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a closely related field. The candidate will conduct research in the area of biomedical engineering applied to ultrasound imaging. This will include developing imaging tools and approaches for diagnostic imaging using programmable ultrasound scanners. It will also include assisting Drs. Dayton and Pinton in mentoring graduate students, disseminating results in scientific publications and conferences, and submitting funding proposals. Prior experience with ultrasonics or a very closely related field is a requirement and applicants without this experience will not be considered.
