West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system of campuses located in Beckley, WV, is currently inviting applications and nominations for the following employment opportunity:
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems within the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences, seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in Computer Science. The department offers two degree programs: BS degree in Computer Science and BS degree in Information Systems. The position is 9-month, full-time, tenure-track, and benefits-eligible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Computer Science and Information Systems courses for baccalaureate programs and service classes for other majors. The successful candidate will also be expected to pursue scholarly activities and perform other service associated with a faculty position.

A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a Ph.D in Information Systems is required. ABD candidates who will graduate before the date of appointment will be considered. The ability to teach courses for both computer science and information systems programs is preferred. Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential.
