Work description
- Characterize the state of the art in the field of electric vehicles charging optimization and load/renewable generation forecasting taking into account different use cases.
- Contribute to the specification, design, development and implementation of tools in the energy area, involving electric vehicles charging, forecasting of load and renewable production and distribution networks operation.
- Specify the exchange of information between systems and develop APIs to enable interaction between new tools and existing platforms.
- Participate in the elaboration of use cases and services related to the optimization of electric vehicles charging.
- Attend a curricular unit of transversal competences.
- Write the grant activity report.
Academic Qualifications
Electrical and computer engineering or similar
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge in programming.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
Preference factors
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts of electric vehicles charging.
- Knowledge of optimization and forecasting models.
- Knowledge of Python (or similar).
Maintenance stipend: € 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
