Job Description:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Applied Science & Technology at Weber State University is accepting applications for an assistant tenure track faculty position starting Fall semester, 2024. The department offers baccalaureate degrees in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering technology and an associate in pre-engineering. Selected individual will mostly develop and teach a variety of courses in mechanical engineering with some support teaching in the additional programs mentioned above. Service duties include program-building and advising, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Candidates with an Electrical/Electronics Engineering background can also apply.
Job Duties:
Required courses to be taught are Control Systems, Dynamic Systems Modeling, Numerical Methods for Engineering, and Capstone Senior Design. Additional areas of interest include, but are not limited to Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Computing, and the development of additional mechanical engineering technical electives listed on WSU catalog program page.

- At least three years of industry or lab experience.

- At least five years of industry or lab experience.
- Teaching experience at the University level along with positive evaluations are a plus.
