The Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
A PhD in electrical and computer engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related field is preferred, although candidates with a master’s degree who are either working towards a terminal degree or have significant industry or research experience may be considered. Research background or industrial experience in computer engineering is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the mission of California Baptist University, and develop evidence of a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of Christian faith and learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide range of courses in the electrical and computer engineering curriculum possibly including, but not limited to, data structures, digital logic design, computer organization, microcontroller system design, and technical elective/graduate level course(s) in the candidate’s specialty area. The selected individual must demonstrate effective communication skills, and will engage student learning in both lecture and laboratory environments. The candidate is also expected to supervise graduate research projects and undergraduate capstone design projects, support curriculum and program development, conduct student outcome assessments, provide academic advising to ECE students, and work with industrial partners.
