Requirements
A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management with at least four (4) years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) as well as good leadership and management skills are required. Competence to teach at least three of the following subjects at under-graduate level: Theory of Quantity Surveying, Construction Legislation and Regulations, Building and Engineering Law, Construction Economics, Measurement, Computer Applications for Quantity Surveying, Construction Accounting, Construction Project Management, Professional Practice, Construction Finance, Construction Costing and Feasibility Study, and Research Methodology. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing under-graduate programmes. Registered or registerable with the Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors or another similarly recognised relevant statutory professional body. A credible record of peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, research supervision at under-graduate level, as well as a Doctorate will be an advantage.
