Two or three senior postdoctoral research associate positions (tenable for three years) are available in Building Energy Integrated Smart Technologies Lab of the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University, China. The postdoctoral researcher will work in the fields of BIPV/T, Distributed Energy Storage, Building Energy Demand-side Management, Building Smart Energy System, Advanced Window and Curtain Wall, Advanced Dehumidification and Refrigeration Technologies, Numerical Heat and Mass Transfer Simulation and other related areas of building energy efficiency. Additionally, the appointee will assist the PIs in writing research proposals and supervising students. The applicant should have a strong background and experience in one or more of the following areas: Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Electrical Automation, Computer Science and Technology. The annual salary is approximately $35,000-$45,000 with additional rent subsidies and awards for excellent research outcomes. The applicant may work in a part-time mode based on mutual agreement. For outstanding post-doctors who pass the assessment, there is a chance to obtain tenure-track positions of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the university.
-Conduct research in advanced energy-saving technologies in buildings

Abilities and Skills:
-Excellent in test bench design and construction
-Excellent in programming languages such as C and or Python
-Prior experience in software such as EnergyPlus , and Matlab, Fluent, or Comsol
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively in a team environment with faculty and students
