We have two to three openings. We are looking for motivated, active, and innovative PhD graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows. Any qualified and energetic students to pursue PhD degrees and researchers and scientists to continue their science in super-resolution ultrasound imaging algorithm development, genetically encoded gas vesicles, the development of intracellular delivery device development for immunotherapy are more than welcome to Yoon lab. Particularly, we are looking for a proactive, idea blinking, and self-motivated people to pursue our mission for cancer diagnosis and therapy.

Yoon lab is developing ultrasound imaging technique and genetically encoded ultrasound contrast agents to increase specificity and sensitivity for cancer diagnosis. We are looking for two people here to pursue ultrasound imaging technique development and the generation of gas vesicles. Yoon lab is developing the next generation device for immunotherapy applications. We are inviting one person to pursue this exciting research.

1. Microfluidic chip and microtransducer for immunotherapy application: The first phase is the development of an integrated device using a microfluidics and a transducer. The second phase is in vitro and in vivo verification. This is a five year project and a complete project from device development to in vivo verification for immunotherapy applications.

2. Super-resolution ultrasound imaging and genetically encoded gas vesicles development for cancer diagnosis: Beamforming algorithm development is the first part. This part spans from the adaptation of mathematical theory to in vivo ultrasound imaging of small animals. The first part is mainly performing ex vivo and in vivo imaging and improve the imaging quality using commercial ultrasound imaging system. The second part is the development of genetically encoded gas vesicles to increase specificity and sensitivity of cancer diagnosis. We are developing various gene circuits for the visualization of various biomarkers for prognostic purposes.

Salaries for PhD students. All tuition is covered and stipend and benefits will be provided
Salaries for Postdoc fellow. We can discuss and the salary will be determined by the expertise and experience.
