    Work description



    1. Requirements specification for a software module that applies computer vision techniques to satellite images (SAR);

    2. Definition of use cases and requirements for training and running heterogeneous environment ML models:

    3. Implement the software module;

    4. Writing the activity report;


     


    Academic Qualifications


    Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science or similar


     


    Minimum profile required



    1. Experience in applying segmentation and classification techniques to large datasets;

    2. Proven experience in processing SAR images obtained via satellite;

    3. Proven experience in software development using the Python programming language;

    4. Experience in remote environment development and version control tools;

    5. Degree average greater than or equal to 15 (scale from 0-20).


     


    Preference factors



    1. Experience in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methodologies for computer vision algorithms;

    2. Experience with the computer vision libraries YOLO and OpenCV;

    3. Good performance in programming courses and the development of artificial intelligence algorithms.


     


    Maintenance stipend: € 601,12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.


     


    INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".


     


    The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
