    Postdoctoral Position – Qunatum Computing Algorithms for Turbulent Flows


    A postdoc position is available with a start date of the beginning of 2025 in the Computational and Theoretical Multiphysics Lab (https://web1.eng.famu.fsu.edu/~kshoele/CTML) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the FAMu-FSU joint College of Engineering related to use of stochastic homogenization and quantum computing approaches to simulate turbulent flows.


    The following skills/certifications/interests are relevant to the position:



    • Interest in turbulent flows and quantum computing 

    • A PhD degree in engineering(especially mechanical and aero) or related fields (applied mathematics, physics, computational physics).

    • Relevant previous research experience in turbulent flows and large eddy simulation. Desirable research skills include quantum computing, programming skills and stochastic analysis.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Track record of publications and scientific outputs and the ability to work independently.
