    Mechanical Engineering Decarbonizing industry


     


    Work description



    • Characterization of the energy end uses and related GHG emissions;

    • Mapping of energy use from primary energy to final uses;

    • Implementation of an energy model for the sector;

    • Development of potential alternatives for decarbonization of the sector;

    • Prepare a scientific report on activities and write scientific articles.


     


    Academic Qualifications


    Mechanical Engineering or similar


     


    Minimum profile required



    • Knowledge in characterizing energy systems from primary resources to final uses;

    • Experience in mapping energy flows in industrial and/or thermal processes, or similar;

    • Experience in calculating environmental impacts at the GHG emissions level;

    • Knowledge of technological options for improving energy efficiency and industrial decarbonization;

    • Fluency in English (written and spoken).


     


    Preference factors



    • Experience in developing energy models;

    • Experience in modelling decarbonization measures;

    • Knowledge of decarbonization plans at European and national level.
