    Power Systems - Digitalization in energy local ecosystems and energy management tools


     


    Work description



    • Identify technical requirements for the development and integration of digital micro services.

    • Build on previous project developments for the creating of micro services in digital environments.

    • Integrate LLMs and other tools, such as text-to-speech, for the precise and reliable interpretation of graphics, minimizing effects such as hallucinations.

    • Develop knowledge and understand the effective added value of digital technologies and energy flexibility for local energy ecosystems.

    • Write the grant activity report.


     


    Minimum profile required



    • Student of Computer Engineering, Computer Scientist, data science or similar areas.

    • Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken).

    • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

    • Experience with Python, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and SciPy.


     


    Preference factors



    • Knowledge of Backend development.

    • Knowledge of RESTful APIS, such as Flask or FastAPI.

    • Knowledge of Docker for containerization.

    • Knowledge of Kubernetes.

    • Knowledge of AI models, namely LLMs such as OpenAI GPT and LlaMA 3.

    • Knowledge of micro service development, integration and deployment.


     


    Maintenance stipend: € 990,98 or 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.


     


    INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".


     


    The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
