This role requires a deep understanding of the latest trends in emerging technologies and the ability to strategically apply them to our business objectives. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

Technology Research and Evaluation

• Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.


• Evaluate the potential impact and feasibility of adopting new technologies within the organization.


• Stay abreast of advancements in various fields, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality, and other disruptive technologies.

Technology Strategy Development

• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with the SIT's vision and goals.


• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to gain a competitive edge and enhance operational efficiency.


• Develop a roadmap for technology adoption, outlining implementation timelines and key milestones.

Innovation and Experimentation

• Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the organization.


• Facilitate ideation sessions to explore innovative solutions using emerging technologies.


• Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot initiatives to validate the potential benefits of adopting new technologies.

Project Management

• Lead cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of emerging technology projects.


• Define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.


• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Vendor Management and Partnerships

• Collaborate with external vendors to explore partnerships and access cutting-edge technologies.


• Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements.

Training and Awareness

• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to raise awareness of emerging technologies among internal stakeholders.


• Educate teams on the potential applications of new technologies to their respective areas.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Assess potential risks associated with emerging technology adoption and develop risk mitigation plans.


• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


• At least 10 years of experience in technology research, innovation management, or a related role.


• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their practical applications in various industries.


• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading technology initiatives.


• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
