    Position Summary


    The Photovoltaic Materials and Solar Cell Group led by Professor Ian Sellers in the Department of Electrical Engineering is seeking a motivated and experienced postdoctoral research associate to join their group. The focus of the group is to investigate novel materials and devices for applications in advanced concept photovoltaics and next generation space solar cells. The successful candidate should have experience in optical spectroscopy, and device physics and characterization.

    Duties will include, but are not limited to:



      • Mentorship of graduate and undergraduate research students.

      • The ability to drive both current and emerging research efforts within the laboratory.

      • Instrumentation and experimental development.

      • Analyze, present, and disseminate experimental data at professional meetings and conferences, and through the preparation and publication of manuscripts in peer review scientific journals.

    Minimum Qualifications


    PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field

    Preferred Qualifications



    • Experience in the optical spectroscopy and semiconductor devices is preferred.

    • The successful candidate must also have displayed a strong track record of independence including evidence of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations.
