    Job Description


    A regular full-time faculty position with teaching responsibilities. The position is either a tenured or non-tenure track. Doctorate Degree preferred. Must have 5 to 10 years teaching experience.


    The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering (CEOE) at Stevens Institute of Technology seeks applicants for a 9-month lecturer position, starting in Spring 2024. The successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of water resources and environmental engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Example courses include environmental design, groundwater hydrology and pollution, water resources engineering, physicochemical processes, air pollution, numerical methods, modeling and simulation of environmental systems, and environmental biology. We seek applicants who are passionate about teaching civil and environmental engineering courses to undergraduate and graduate students in an inclusive environment.


    Required Qualifications



    • A master’s degree in civil, environmental engineering or a related field


    Preferred Qualifications



    • A PhD degree in civil, environmental engineering or a related field

    • A record of pedagogical accomplishments and leadership in relation to graduate or undergraduate education

    • Experience in advising undergraduate and master’s level students
