  • Research Associate (Waste Management)

    The School of Materials Science and Engineering is looking for highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us as a Research Associate. The candidate shall support the research program Principal Investigator in managing and driving the research activities with special emphasis on developing technologies to remediate and/or transform industrial sludge into value-added products.



    Key Responsibilities: 




    • Design and conduct research experiments focusing on the conversion of industrial sludge into safe, nutrient-rich agricultural products.




    • Develop and optimize processes for the extraction of valuable components from industrial sludge.




    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the agronomic effectiveness of the developed products.




    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards throughout the research and development process.




    • Analyze data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders and at relevant conferences.




    • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to waste conversion and sustainable agriculture.




     


    Job Requirements: 




    • Master’s in Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or a related field.




    • Proven experience in research and development, particularly in waste conversion, hydrometallurgy, or agricultural product development.




    • Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques and laboratory safety protocols.




    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.




    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse groups.




    • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
