Expertise: Calhoun’s research interests are in fluid dynamics; atmospheric sciences; boundary layer; wind energy and remote sensing. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Meteorological Society, American Geophysical Union. He is a member of the Validation and Verification Committee for Department of Energy’s Chem/Bio Salt Lake City Urban Field Experiment. Calhoun has served as a reviewer for prestigious journals and federal agencies.
