The current research interests focus on synthesis and assemble of various nanocrytals for device applications: (1) Synthesize magnetic nanoparticles by chemical/physical methods and assemble them into ordered array for the potential applications in the next generation of data storage devices. (2) Synthesize/assemble chalcogenide nanocrystals by chemical methods and evaluate their photovoltaic, thermalelectric properties and process on their integration into devices. (3) Fundamental study on shape, phase, compostion and property control during nanocrystal synthesis
