His main research interest is in the development of power electronic topologies and systems that are both power dense and grid compatible (from a power quality and electromagnetic compatibility standpoint). Additional research interests are in DC and hybrid AC/DC power distribution architectures for applications such as Naval shipboard, buildings, server farms and industrial parks, micro-grid protection methodologies, solid state transformer, solid state protective devices, wireless power transfer and multi-level power converter topologies.
