Research Opportunities

Electrotechnical Engineering

 

Work description

  • Identify and select the physical models that will serve as the basis for developing the energy consumption models, for example, for the Onshore Power Supply.
  • Development of the algorithms that will allow the modelling of the consumption of the different assets and equipment that support the ports logistics activities.
  • Python implementation of the developed algorithms.
  • Supporting the integration of the modules developed into energy management platforms and tools for ports.
  • Prepare a scientific report on activities and write scientific articles.

 

Academic Qualifications

  • Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.

 

Minimum profile required

  • Basic knowledge of energy systems, namely demand models for different sectors and integration with decarbonized energy vectors.
  • Knowledge of the Python programming language, or similar.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

 

Preference factors

  • Experience in developing energy consumption models in ports environment.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar.
  • Knowledge of decarbonization plans at European and national level.
